These Road Trips are a collection of my journeys along the back roads of the world, where the people I meet and the comedy of everyday life are just as memorable as the scenery. Last Flight Out, despite the name, is not dedicated to airlines. It reflects more of an attitude toward travel — and maybe life in general. Most of us want to linger a little longer in those memorable places we find ourselves, to slow down, take it all in and appreciate the world we live in.
If these stories do anything, I hope they encourage you to get behind the wheel, because no matter your age, it’s all about the journey — windows down and music on. The best adventures come from the freedom of the open road. The people, the stories, the unexpected moments all remind us: sometimes we shouldn’t rush… we should pause awhile and take that Last Flight Out.
